Competition & Antitrust
We have substantial experience assisting companies with the global execution of competition and antitrust reviews, beginning from the earliest days of the firm when we assisted with the merger between Exxon and Mobil.
Since then, we have worked on some of the most prominent global transactions in tech, consumer products, retail, food and agriculture, and energy, crafting the umbrella strategy and working country-by-country to help support the legal strategy to resolve regulatory issues that could impair the transaction.
Our M&A approach includes:
- Mapping the stakeholders and preparing the action plan upon announcement
- Helping to activate the action plan
- Coordinating with legal teams in each country to ensure the various competition reviews remain on track and in sync
- Coordinating strategies and timing across key global markets
Our M&A work is rooted in twenty years of broader experience managing government affairs on a global basis, always considering local nuances and audiences while ensuring consistency across messaging; advising corporate chairmen, boards, and CEOs; and crafting and executing transregional crisis communications strategies.
