Announcing changes to our Brazil & Southern Cone practice

McLarty Associates is pleased to announce the promotion of Gabrielle Trebat to Managing Director for Brazil and the Southern Cone, with lead responsibility for the practice. Since joining us in 2011 from the Treasury Department, Gabrielle has been a key contributor to our work in the region. She will continue to have the close support of McLarty’s senior leadership, including our Chairman Mack McLarty, Vice Chairman John Negroponte, Managing Partner and founder of the Brazil and Southern Cone practice Kellie Meiman Hock, and our trusted Board of Counselors member Luiz Fernando FurlanIn addition to heading the practice, Gabrielle will continue her principal focus on Brazil and Chile.

In recognition of the rapidly evolving political and business climate in Argentina, our Director for Argentina, Kezia McKeague, will be dividing her time in 2020 between Washington and Buenos Aires to offer on-the-ground support to our clients in both capitals.

 

Gabrielle Trebat, dual national of Brazil and the US, has over 20 years of experience advising on trade and investment in Latin America. Prior to joining MA in 2011, she served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Business Affairs and Public Liaison at the Department of Treasury and Executive Director of the Brazil-US Business Council. She helped establish the international program at the US Council on Competitiveness.

 

Kezia McKeague has advised more than a dozen companies operating in Argentina in a variety of sectors. Previously, she led government relations at the Washington office of the Council of the Americas and served on the staff of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee. She received a master’s degree at Torcuato Di Tella University, Argentina’s premier university in the social sciences, and worked at a Buenos Aires-based think tank.
