Ilona Barrero
Ilona Barrero, Intern, supports our Northern Latin America practice.
Ilona Barrero is a current senior and Honors student at American University’s School of International Service, set to graduate in May 2025. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a regional concentration in Latin America and a thematic concentration in International Development and Global Security, Peace and Conflict Resolution. During her junior year, she studied abroad at the London School of Economics.
Ilona has also worked as an intern at the Organization of American States with the Office of the Assistant Secretary General, aiding in providing services to Member States and helping to coordinate events hosted by the Office. She has also interned at the Gender in Geopolitics Institute, where she wrote and published articles focused on the gendered dynamics of critical issues in International Relations. Ilona is fluent in Spanish, French, and English.
