McLarty Associates welcomes three new team members

We are pleased to welcome Duncan Wood, Laurent de Boisséson, and Suman Bery to our team at McLarty Associates. They will base in Washington, Brussels,  and New Delhi, respectively, and bring with them decades of expertise and deep knowledge across various industries and sectors.

Duncan Wood joins us as a Senior Advisor in our Mexico practice, based in Washington. Many of you know Duncan as Washington’s top Mexico analyst, where he continues to lead the Wilson Center’s Mexico Institute. Duncan studied in Canada and taught in Mexico for well over a decade before moving to Washington, making him ideally suited to help us understand the region during the NAFTA re-negotiation, and Mexico during its electoral year.

Laurent de Boisséson joins McLarty Europe as Senior Advisor based in Brussels. Laurent brings over 30 years of experience working at the nexus of industry, market entry, mergers and acquisitions, risk analysis and management as well as government relations in Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. Laurent previously served as a Senior Advisor and Director in Brussels and Paris for a leading Scandinavian-based international public affairs and communication firm.

Suman Bery joins our Board of Counselors based in New Delhi. He brings deep experience in economics through both the public and private sectors. Suman most recently served as Shell’s Global Chief Economist based in The Hague. Before that he led the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) as Director-General in New Delhi for ten years. He was also a Member of the Indian Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council; Member of the Task Force on National Security; and Member of the Reserve Bank of India’s Technical Advisory Committee on Monetary Policy.

Duncan, Laurent, and Suman will join our strong Mexico, McLarty Europe, and India & South Asia teams.
