Yumi Ko, Associate, supports our Trade and Northeast Asia practices.
Prior to joining the firm, Yumi was a Research Associate/Program Officer at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C. where she provided research support and managed the Asan Academy program. She also wrote the Country Reports on South Korea for the Asan Forum, the Asan Institute’s online journal. Prior to joining the Asan Institute, she interned at the Korea Chair at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
Yumi holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. During her undergraduate studies, she was an Undergraduate Fellow at the Korea Law Center at Berkeley Law. Yumi lived in Guangdong, China for 7 years and is fluent in Korean and Mandarin Chinese.
