Troy Benavides recently graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Development with a minor in Economics. He is a dual-national Brazilian-American born and raised in San Francisco, who developed a deep affinity for his family’s home country of Brazil, culminating in his movement to São Paulo right after high school. After living, studying, and working in São Paulo for two years, Troy returned to the United States to continue his education.
In the U.S., he conducted research as an intern for the California State Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the World Wildlife Fund before joining McLarty Associates. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and spends his free time improving his German. His primary areas of interest are macroeconomics, sustainable development, and public policy implementation.
