Tjaša Skočir

Tjaša Skočir, Deputy Head of our Brussels office and Director, Europe.

Before joining McLarty, Tjaša worked for an EU public affairs consultancy counselling clients across different sectors on strategy, communications, and political engagement. Before that she served as a diplomat, covering EU trade policy at the Slovenian Permanent Representation to the EU, including during the Slovenian Presidency of the EU Council in 2021, and did a short stint at the Slovenian Embassy in Berlin. She started her career as a lawyer.

Tjaša holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Law from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia and an LL.M. degree in EU Law from KU Leuven, Belgium. During her undergraduate studies she completed a semester at the WWU Münster, Germany. She speaks Slovenian, English, German and Dutch.
