Sonia Corbett


Sonia Corbett, Graduate Fellow, supports our Northern Latin America practice.

Sonia Corbett is an M.A.I.R. degree candidate at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), specializing in political economy and global security in Latin America.

Before graduate school, Sonia worked as an account executive at a Boston-based social impact agency. She earned a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications, and minor in Political Science, from the University of South Carolina. During this time, she spent six months studying at the University of Newcastle in Australia.

Her previous experiences include working at the South Carolina Democratic Party as a political communications intern, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee as the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee intern, and the Belfer Center’s Defending Digital Democracy Project (D3P) as a volunteer.

Sonia is originally from Madrid, Spain, speaks English and Spanish fluently, and intermediate Italian.
