Sara Van Velkinburgh


Sara Van Velkinburgh, Associate, supports our Mexico, Central America, Caribbean and the Andean region practices.

Sara graduated from Boston University’s Pardee School of Global Studies in May of 2018, with majors in international relations and Spanish literature. As a member of the University’s Kilachand Honors College, her senior research project focused on the role of international actors in Venezuela’s multi-faceted crisis. Sara is a member of Phi Beta Kappa’s national honor society and a recipient of the Instituto Cervantes Award for excellence in Spanish. Her previous internships include the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Center for Latin America and Senator Edward J. Markey’s Boston office. Sara studied abroad in Argentina and has traveled throughout Bolivia, China, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Peru.
