Rorey Hughes

Rorey Hughes, Associate, supports our work in Europe & Eurasia.

Rorey Hughes graduated from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service with a master’s degree in German and European studies and holds a certificate in diplomatic studies from the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy.

While at Georgetown, he worked at the German Marshall Fund in their strategic partners division and later at the US Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration focusing on energy storage. As a Fulbright Scholar in Germany, Rorey collaborated with US embassies and consulates to further transatlantic goals.

Originally from Alaska, he received his BA in foreign languages from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Rorey speaks fluent German, as well as Spanish at the professional level and has lived and worked in Germany on several occasions.
