Paulo Breitman is a rising Junior at Emory University pursuing a dual degree in English and History (with a Latin American concentration). Born in Brazil and educated at the American School of Rio de Janeiro, he has always held a profound interest in international relations.
Paulo’s previous experiences include working as an English to Portuguese translator during the Rio 2016 Olympics and serving as a ballot officer for the two terms of the 2018 Brazilian Presidential and Gubernatorial elections. At Emory, he has conducted research on such topics as the Chilean coup of 1973, US foreign policy in Latin America, and the formation of the Brazilian state. Additionally, Paulo is passionate about world literature and is a published writer for The Emory Wheel. He recently published a paper on the works of Dostoevsky.
