Biography

Associate, China
Patrick Beyrer, Associate, supports our China practice. Prior to joining McLarty, Patrick worked as a China Analyst at a Washington consulting firm and interned with the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ China Power Project. In these roles, Patrick focused on the global and private sector implications of Chinese economic statecraft and foreign policy. Patrick received his Master of Laws in China Studies (Law and Society) from the Yenching Academy of Peking University and completed additional language training at National Taiwan University. While at the Yenching Academy, Patrick studied US-China relations, international law, and China’s emerging technology governance model. He also holds BA and MA degrees in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Pennsylvania with Phi Beta Kappa Honors. Patrick is a Non-Resident Research Associate for Public Health and Technology at the Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis.. He is originally from Long Island, New York, and speaks Mandarin Chinese.
