Amb. Lee Feinstein, President of McLarty Associates, has held senior positions at the departments of State and Defense during a 30-year career in foreign policy and national security. He served as US Ambassador to the Republic of Poland (2009-2012), where he negotiated the first continuous presence of US forces in the country. Amb. Feinstein served as Principal Deputy Director of the State Department’s Policy Planning Staff, and as presidentially appointed trustee of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. Prior to his ambassadorship, Amb. Feinstein served on the Presidential Transition Team for President Obama and as Senior Fellow and Deputy Director of Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations. From 2014 to 2022, Amb. Feinstein was founding dean of the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the American Academy of Diplomacy, and is a trustee of Vassar College.
