Kanchana Aksorn-Aree, Advisor, assists clients on economic matters in Thailand.
Prior to joining McLarty Associates (MA), Mrs. Aksorn-Aree was an Economic Specialist in the Economic Section at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok for 20 years. She provided extensive research, analysis, and reports on issues related to the environment, energy, science, technology, and health in Thailand and the region. She was a grant officer representative for the Regional Environmental Hub covering all of the countries in Southeast Asia.
She previously worked with Mekong River Commission Secretariat, a Finance company and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as the Senior Financial Analyst. Mrs. Aksorn-Aree holds a BA degree in Accounting and Finance from Thammasart University in Bangkok and a postgraduate certificate in English from National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) in Bangkok. She received training from the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, the University of California at Davis and the U.S. Foreign Service Institute in financial, economic and environmental issues.
