Juliana Kogan
Juliana Kogan, Associate, supports our trade and Northeast Asia practices.
Juliana Kogan received her Master of Arts in Asian Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where she also completed a certificate in the Global Human Development Program. During her time at Georgetown, Juliana focused on energy, environment, and transnational issues, interning both domestically at the CSIS Energy Security and Climate Change Program as well as abroad at the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan in Tokyo.
Before graduate school, Juliana spent several years working in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan as a coordinator for international relations under the JET Program. She received her undergraduate degree from the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs, concentrating in the Asia region and international development. Juliana continues to be active in the US-Japan community in the DMV area through serving on the executive boards of the local JET Alumni Association and Study Japanese in Arlington (SJA).
She is originally from Odesa, Ukraine and speaks Russian, Ukrainian, and Japanese.
