George Tsereteli, Manager, supports clients in Europe & Eurasia.
. A native of Tbilisi, Georgia, he is based in New York City and has spent over two decades living, studying, and working in Washington, DC. He monitors and analyzes major policy issues in sectors including energy, transatlantic trade, defense, financial services, healthcare, and tech. George advises clients on geopolitical risk, market entry opportunities, trade negotiations, the challenges posed by various international sanctions packages, and major political and economic developments in the United States, Europe, and Eurasia. He further supports business development activities and our McLarty Inbound practice.
Previously, George held positions at the Jamestown Foundation, Arent Fox LLP, KAI Research, and a commercial diplomacy firm. He earned his master’s degree in strategic studies and international economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), with a minor in European and Eurasian studies, and spent the first year of the graduate program studying in Bologna, Italy.
George’s op-eds and policy briefs have appeared in the Atlantic Council, The National Interest, Real Clear Defense, The Institute for Security & Development Policy, The Kyiv Post, and The Central Asia-Caucasus Institute, among other outlets. He is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. George speaks Georgian and French and has a basic knowledge of Russian.
