Emily Ashbridge

Emily Ashbridge, Graduate Fellow, supports our South Asia practice.

Recently returned from a summer internship at the US Indo-Pacific Command, Emily is finishing her Masters of International Affairs at Texas A&M University where she focuses on China and Grand Strategy. Before graduate school, Emily served as a program specialist at the US Institute of Peace, working on the Afghanistan and South Asia portfolios. While at USIP, she supported the congressionally mandated Afghanistan Study Group co-chaired by former Senator Kelly Ayotte, Gen. Joe Dunford, and Nancy Lindborg, which identified and presented policy recommendations for Afghanistan to the Biden administration. Emily has traveled extensively in South Asia and lived in Pakistan from 2015-17. She graduated from the University of Chicago in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Following graduate school, Emily aims to continue working on peace and security in South Asia and the broader Indo-Pacific region.
