Akhil Bery, Senior Research Associate, supports our India & South Asia team, as well as our tech practice, focusing on global data policies.
Akhil supports our India & South Asia practice, as well as McLarty Associates’ tech practice. In addition, he provides some research support for our Japan practice.
Prior to joining McLarty Associates in 2013, he worked for Fujitsu Research Institute, based in Tokyo, Japan, where he advised Japanese companies on their market entry strategies for India. Specifically, he focused on identifying possible joint venture and M&A opportunities for Japanese clients, while also conducting research on opportunities in India’s infrastructure sector. While a part of Fujitsu Research Institute, he participated in a Ministry of Textiles delegation to Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram to advocate for the usage of technical textiles in Northeastern infrastructure.
From 2009-2012, Akhil worked with 9.9 Media, a B2B media start-up based in New Delhi, India. During his tenure at 9.9, he worked with the editorial, international sales, and marketing teams.
Akhil received his B.A. in history from Franklin & Marshall College in 2009 and received a M.A. in International Business and Policy from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service and McDonough School of Business in 2017.
