Victoria Ruan

Victoria Ruan, Research Associate, specializes in China affairs.

Based in Washington DC, Ms. Ruan brings her deep understanding about China’s politics, economy, and industrial policies gained from her work as a senior reporter in Beijing at Dow Jones/Wall Street JournalBloomberg News, and South China Morning Post. She received the William R. Clabby Award, the top annual journalism award at Dow Jones, on a series of exclusive reports about China’s financial reforms.

Ms. Ruan advises multinational clients on US-China relations, global trade negotiations, supply chain shifts, China’s economic and political reforms, as well as a broad range of foreign investment, technology, and security policies introduced by Washington and Beijing. She also plays an active role in business development.

Ms. Ruan was a research fellow at political risk consulting firm Eurasia Group in Washington DC. She holds a master’s degree in Asian Studies from Georgetown University and an MBA in finance from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She speaks fluent English and mandarin Chinese.
