George Tsereteli

George Tsereteli, Manager, supports clients in Europe & Eurasia.

George, a native of Tbilisi, Georgia, has spent over two decades living, studying, and working in Washington, DC. As part of our Europe and Eurasia practice, he monitors and analyzes major policy issues in sectors including energy, foreign affairs, trade, healthcare, tech, and security. George advises clients on trade negotiations, the challenges posed by various sanctions packages, market entry opportunities, and major political and economic developments in the US, Europe, and Eurasia. He further supports business development activities and our McLarty Inbound practice.

Previously, George held positions at the Jamestown Foundation, Arent Fox LLP, KAI Research, and a commercial diplomacy firm. He earned his master’s degree in Strategic Studies and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), with a minor in European and Eurasian Studies. He spent the first year of the graduate program studying in Bologna, Italy.

George’s op-eds and policy briefs have appeared in the Atlantic Council, The National Interest, Real Clear Defense, the Institute for Security & Development Policy, The Kyiv Post, and The Central Asia-Caucasus Institute, among other outlets. He speaks Georgian and French and has a basic knowledge of Russian.
