Prior to joining McLarty, he worked on a number of US-China co-produced feature films, acquiring extensive knowledge of the local industry. He was also involved in a number of high level international events including the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing in which he was a technical producer for the opening and closing ceremonies. During the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, as the protocol manager for the Aviation Pavilion, he oversaw the pavilion’s receiving of local and foreign VIPs and dignitaries.
David grew up in North America, and relocated back to Beijing after graduating from the University of California, San Diego with a BA in economics. He speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
