Carolina Costa, Director, works as a member of our Brazil & Southern Cone practice.
Ms. Costa began her career at McLarty Associates in 2002 and quickly rose to become an Associate before departing in 2007 to return to her native Brazil. She most recently served as Manager of Institutional Relations at Walmart Brazil, where she managed the company’s relations with Brazilian government officials at the national and state levels. From 2007 to 2009, she was an Advisor for Institutional Relations at the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association (UNICA), where she was responsible for managing the organization’s relations with Brazilian and foreign stakeholders. Since 2014, she has served as member of the board of the Association of Women in International Trade.
Ms. Costa has an M.A. in international trade and investment policy from George Washington University and a B.A. in economics from Calvin College. She is fluent in Portuguese and English, and has working knowledge of Spanish.
